Kimochis at the Barossa Library

Kimochis help parents recognise, name and understand emotions in themselves and their children. By using the characters and feelings to explore emotional experiences, parents can pause, regulate their own responses and model calm, connected behaviour. This co-regulation supports parents to communicate with greater empathy, patience and confidence during challenging moments with children.

Enhance Barossa Mental Health has supported the purchase of Kimochis for a programme at the Barossa Library, providing families with a practical, engaging resource to build emotional awareness and connection. Through guided activities, parents can strengthen communication, respond more calmly to big emotions and develop healthier, more supportive relationships with their children.
